I’m not even remotely sorry.

Phonogram is still available from all good comic shops, etc. Also, clearly Seth Bingo and the silent girl are jolly miffed.

Last month, DC Entertainment premiered some rather fun dog toys at comic con in the way of squeaky plush pups that my youngest puppy wont stop reminding me I actually purchased. However, that was just the start of new DC superhero toys and products for pets, as Fetch officially unleashes a whole line of DC items at Petco’s across the nation today. This comes just months after Marvel’s release of pet products through Fetch this past March. However, it seems the two competing comic companies also compete in what stores carry them, with Marvel at PetSmart and DC at Petco. I’m not sure that they wont eventually both integrate thanks to Fetch, but for now DC has the advantage, with Petco park being right across the street from the San Diego Convention Center, where Comic Con is annually held, it is the pet store more in comic fan’s minds. But what exactly does one get if they want DC or Marvel animal products from Fetch? Well, we have a little gallery to show you below. Remember, pick up your Marvel pet toys and outfits at PetSmart, and your DC suits and trinkets at Petco.

As we mentioned in one of our FQC’s at the beginning of the month, Marvel was looking to make a new TV series at ABC to tie in with the Marvel movie-verse. More recent news added that with Joss Whedon’s new contract to direct the Avengers sequel and guide the Marvel movie-verse, he would in some way be attached to the ABC TV series if it ever got off the ground. Well, it looks like that might just happen as The Wrap reports on some breaking Marvel media news. It seems ABC has entered into an agreement with the folks over at Marvel to get a pilot underway about S.H.I.E.L.D. Set in the same universe as the popular films, there is little else known about what this S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series will be about. What we do know is that Joss Whedon will be writing the script for the pilot alongside his brother, Jed, and sister-in-law, Maurissa Tancharoen. All three are extremely skilled and respected television writers, with works such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, and Spartacus on their resumes. If the series gets green lit, Whedon will also be on as the executive producer, along with Jed, Maurissa, Jeffrey Bell, and famed comic writer, Jeph Loeb of Marvel TV. Of course, with such a stunning crew already on-board and a franchise worth more than millions, it would take some real idiots at ABC not to get this show on the air. So here’s looking forward to a brand new Marvel live action series sometime in the next year or two.

The ever controversial Rob Liefeld officially stepped away from DC comics earlier this week, with a rather big drop via his twitter account. He officially leaves Grifter, Deathstroke, and Savage Hawkman with their #0 issues next month. However, if it wasn’t so close to the release of those issues, some question if DC would even publish those. Why? Because Liefeld has been making a rather spectacular spectacle of himself recently on his twitter account. Now this isn’t the first time fans might have seen Liefeld go off on another member of the comic industry online, but this certainly seems a big scale event involving members of both DC and Marvel, as well as countless fans and haters of the comic artist. Yet, somehow, despite some rather harsh exchanges, Liefeld is still coming off somewhat civil sounding and promoting the New 52, while simultaneously letting DC’s editors have it.
