Tomorrow is NEW COMIC DAY! Loads of awesome new reads dropping, and of course: DC’s NEW 52 ZERO MONTH BEGINS! Been thinking about jumping onto some of the NEW 52 titles? Now is your chance with these special #0 issues that not only tell the NEW 52 origins of each character, but also start brand new arcs and directions in the series!
Last month, DC Entertainment premiered some rather fun dog toys at comic con in the way of squeaky plush pups that my youngest puppy wont stop reminding me I actually purchased. However, that was just the start of new DC superhero toys and products for pets, as Fetch officially unleashes a whole line of DC items at Petco’s across the nation today. This comes just months after Marvel’s release of pet products through Fetch this past March. However, it seems the two competing comic companies also compete in what stores carry them, with Marvel at PetSmart and DC at Petco. I’m not sure that they wont eventually both integrate thanks to Fetch, but for now DC has the advantage, with Petco park being right across the street from the San Diego Convention Center, where Comic Con is annually held, it is the pet store more in comic fan’s minds. But what exactly does one get if they want DC or Marvel animal products from Fetch? Well, we have a little gallery to show you below. Remember, pick up your Marvel pet toys and outfits at PetSmart, and your DC suits and trinkets at Petco.
While there are many rumors going around of a new Justice League movie attempting to go into production next year from Warner Bros., there is one new Justice League DC will confirm the existence of next year. Yesterday at Fan Expo Canada, DC announced a brand new Justice League comic series, at the DC Entertainment-All Access Sunday panel, set for release in 2013 (likely part of the 4th wave of the New 52 in January), titled Justice League of America. This new Justice League title will run alongside the current Justice League comic, and share its author, Geoff Johns. Accompanying Johns will be artist David Finch, who is likely to leave Batman: The Dark Knight with it’s fate in the air.

After the kiss that’s currently selling comics in Justice League #12, between Superman and Wonder Woman, DC is taking a bit of pride that they have created such love in their new universe. However, most of us will all remember that for years it wasn’t Clark Kent and Diana of Themyscira, but Clark and Lois Lane. So when DC’s blog today put out a list of their Super Power Couples, many fans moaned and groaned about the love lost when DC rebooted its universe into the New 52. Feeling your pain, while DC gloats of what they called “those perfect little pairs who have stolen each other’s hearts…and ours” we’re here to remind you of the pairs they broke up last September.

A little fun with some of our great models from this year’s San Diego Comic Con that we simply had to share. You may recognize Pri, the older Donna Troy, from her Seeu photoshoot earlier this year. Keen eyes might even recognize our Robin and rather tall, younger Donna Troy from con coverage cosplay shoots as well. But keep an eye out in the future for all three models in more con coverage and photoshoots from Speak Geeky To Me. Until then, enjoy our new SDCC 2012 photo coverage by clicking here!
